For this shoot of Isolation, I wanted to manipulate my lighting as a way to convey isolation. The first two in a woodland area are physically manipulated to have a blue tinge to it, whereas the other images I used a light which had a blue cover on, displaying this look. I wanted to make my subject look as isolated as possible. The photos in the woodland area were to show how even when in a wide area, someone can still feel really trapped mentally. The ones inside were to show different activities which isolated people do, such as listen to music- shut themselves away even more, wrap themselves up as a blanket- for protection,.
The reason behind this final image was to show isolation by her listening to music, I manipulated it by smudging the background- nothing around her is visible/ you can't make it out.
