This photographer captured the creepy atmosphere in the forest. I shows arms coming out of the trees. Although we are unable to see the rest of their body. This image has a darkened feel to it. Through the editing it makes it look like a day of death. The way the hands are clawing at the trees are important because its as if they are the hands of the dead clawing their way back.
This is a photo which I took. My subject was placed to be gazing past a tree. I wanted this to show creepy because I thought I would work as it forms a eeriness in the viewer. Also I made my subject look into the camera, unlike other photos because this time, it's as if she is following us, she is looking past the trees and finding us, looking into us.
Both these images relate because they form creepy atmospheres. They both show subjects behind a tree. Even though in the first image you cannot see their faces it forms the same feeling in the viewer than the second one. The both use editing to make the atmosphere creepy. In the first one it is made darker to make a graveyard feeling, the second one has a higher contrast showing the blood on her face more.
